Nõmme Turg website and interactive market map

Nõmme Turg is a market in the heart of Nõmme, Tallinn, that has been running since 1908 and is home to more than 60 traders. We built the market a new website from a custom design made in Figma. At its centre is an interactive market map that helps visitors find the right trader quickly.

Highlighted solutions

• Custom design in Figma: the site was designed in Figma specifically for Nõmme Turg, and we built it with Breakdance.
• Interactive SVG market map: the market plan is vector graphics (SVG), and all 31 stall numbers are linked to the trader’s entry in WordPress. The map reads its information straight from the trader data – when a trader changes or their details are updated, the map updates itself, with no need to edit the SVG file.
• Map and list work together: on desktop, hovering over a number on the map or a name in the list opens a card with the trader’s photo, short introduction, opening hours and contacts, and highlights the stall both on the map and in the list. A click takes you to the trader’s page.
• Bottom sheet on mobile: on a phone, tapping a stall opens a panel from the bottom of the screen with the trader’s details and a “Read more” button.
• Trader directory: a custom content type with ACF fields (stall number, opening hours, phone, email, website), 7 categories and a category filter that works without reloading the page.
• Trader import from CSV: a custom tool for importing or updating traders from a spreadsheet in one go, including their categories and fields.
• Fast search (Ajax Search Pro).
