We build a simple app for your business that runs in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen. One app for iPhone, Android and desktop – without the App Store, Google Play or expensive platform upgrades.
We usually reply the same or the next working day.
Starting point
Most companies do not need a big app. They have one tedious everyday task that could be done on a phone.
Apps we have built
All three are browser-based: open the link, add it to your home screen and use it like a regular app.

Collects the daily lunch offers of five eateries on one page and checks during the day whether a new menu has been posted.
Open the app : Märjamaa lõunaThe solution
The same app runs on iPhone, Android, tablets and desktop. There is no separate iOS and Android version to build and maintain.
No developer account fees, no waiting for review and no rejections. The app reaches users through a link or a QR code.
We put the new version on the server and everyone has it the next time they open the app. Nobody is stuck on an old version.
Native apps must keep up with Apple's and Google's requirements every year. A web app relies on browser standards that stay stable for years.
A simple app is a set of static files that fits on the same server as your website. If data comes from elsewhere, a small middle layer is enough.
The app is stored on the device, so it opens quickly and can show the most recently loaded data.
Comparison
For most internal business tools and simple customer apps a web app is enough. Here is an honest side-by-side of what each one means.
| Web app | Native app | |
|---|---|---|
| Platforms | Web app One app for all | Native app Separate iOS and Android |
| Reaching users | Web app Link or QR code | Native app App Store and Google Play |
| Publishing an update | Web app Immediately, for everyone | Native app Store review, user must update |
| Mandatory yearly upgrades | Web app None | Native app Yes, Apple and Google requirements |
| Developer accounts | Web app Not needed | Native app Apple $99 a year, Google Play $25 |
| Location, camera, files | Web app Yes | Native app Yes |
| Notifications | Web app Yes, on iPhone after adding to the home screen | Native app Yes |
| Bluetooth, NFC, background tasks | Web app Limited, especially on iPhone | Native app Full |
| Visibility in app stores | Web app No | Native app Yes |
If the app has to rely on Bluetooth, NFC or constant background processing, a native app is the better choice. We will tell you so in the first conversation.
What’s included
Everything needed to take the app from an idea to your staff's or customers' phones.
Process
We talk about which task the app should make easier and who will use it. Free and with no obligation.
We write down the scope of the first version, the data sources and the price. We keep it small so it can be tried for real quickly.
Usually within 2–4 weeks the app is ready to try on your phone. You get a link and give feedback.
We put the app on your domain and share the link. Later changes are billed by actual time, whenever you need them.
Use cases
The best web app does one thing well. A few examples:
Maintenance and inspection checklists, photo reports from a site or a daily report that reaches the office as an email or a spreadsheet.
An order form for a sales rep at the customer's premises, stock lookup or a stocktake with barcode scanning.
A price list, product catalogue, contacts or instructions that staff need to see quickly on their phone.
Today's menu, an event schedule, a map of locations, booking status or a loyalty card.
Testimonials
Long-standing partnerships say more than any slogan. Several of the clients below have been with us for over seven years.
We have worked with Birk for eight years now. This time we wanted a new website for the company, and the goals were set high from the very start – in visuals, functionality, manageability and SEO. Thanks to Birk’s professional approach we got a website of a high standard that met our expectations 100%. The collaboration went smoothly because Birk is a very good and direct communicator, helpful, dependable and conscientious.

We ordered a feature-rich bespoke online store from Zezz. It was also important that it integrate with our accounting software. Zezz handled the task well and has been our day-to-day web development partner since 2018. Overall score 8/10 – there is always room to do better.

As a client you sometimes feel that you don’t know exactly how, and sometimes not even exactly what. But our collaboration has produced a website that our own people value and others try to copy. Thank you for the patience, the good ideas and the understanding. Thank you for visualising it and making it visible. I liked that Zezz keeps its word and stays flexible.

Questions
If you can’t find your answer here, call or write – we’ll answer honestly, even when the answer isn’t “yes”.
No. The app opens from a link in the browser. Frequent users can add it to the home screen from the browser menu, and then it opens like a regular app.
Yes, the same app works on both as well as on tablets and desktop. We test it in Safari and Chrome.
A simple app needs no yearly platform upgrade and no app store account. Usually hosting and an occasional check that the data sources still work are enough. Changes are billed by actual time.
The app itself opens without a connection and can show the most recently loaded data. New data and sending need a connection; if needed, entries can be queued on the device and sent later.
A simple app with one main feature is usually ready in 2–4 weeks. After a free review and estimate the scope is clearer. We bill by actual time spent.
