Small job

Website translation and entering translated content in WordPress

We arrange the translation of your website into another language and enter the translated texts, URLs, SEO titles, menus and hreflang tags into WordPress, ready to publish.

  • Typical scope approx. 8 h
  • Roughly 400 € + VAT
  • Assessment and estimate are free

You have an Estonian site and need an English, Russian, Finnish or Latvian version. A language plugin on its own does not make a site multilingual: it needs translated text, translated addresses, titles, menus and correct SEO setup. This is often the most time-consuming part, and it is where multilingual sites get left unfinished.

This page is about the content side. For the technical side (choosing a language plugin, the multilingual structure), see our multilingual setup. If that is already in place, we come in and fill it with content.

What the work includes

  • Arranging the translation. You choose: we use texts you have translated yourself, we coordinate translation through an outside translator, or we run a machine translation that a person then reviews. We are not a translation agency. We coordinate the process and make sure the text ends up in the right place.
  • Preparation. We list the content, group repeated parts and give the translator notes on terminology, tone and context, so the same term does not get different translations.
  • Entry into Polylang, WPML or TranslatePress. Translated pages, posts, categories and menus are linked to their originals, entered and checked side by side.
  • Translated slugs. Addresses are translated too, so an English page does not keep an Estonian slug such as /meist/, which is clearer to both search engines and people.
  • SEO titles and descriptions. A separate SEO title, meta description and focus phrase for each language, not a literal translation, because what people search for in another language may be different words.
  • hreflang and language switcher. We check that the language versions of each page are linked to each other (hreflang) and that the switcher takes the visitor to the same page in the other language.
  • Menus, forms and small strings. Menus, footer text, form labels, error messages and email templates.
  • Final check. We go through the site as a visitor would: missing translations, leftover Estonian phrases, broken links, and layouts that stretch because of longer words.

What we need from you

  • The list of languages and which pages are translated (the whole site or only the main pages).
  • Whether you have translations ready or want us to arrange them, and any existing glossary or brand names.
  • Administrator access to WordPress.
  • Someone who can give the translated text a final read, especially if the site has legal or technical content.

What is not included

  • The technical multilingual setup, if it is missing: that is a separate job.
  • Translation agency services and sworn or certified translation. If you need a certified translation, it has to be ordered from a translation agency.
  • Writing new copy or localising marketing content from scratch.
  • Bulk translation of shop products is possible, but we agree the volume and approach separately, see adding WooCommerce products.

Who this suits

It suits companies expanding to a neighbouring market or serving Russian- and English-speaking customers who do not have time to enter the texts themselves. If translations are ready in Word or Google Docs files, the work is faster. After the translated site is live, an SEO check is worth doing.

50 € Hourly rate + VAT
400 € Estimated total

This is an estimate, not a quote. We’ll review your site free of charge first and tell you the exact time required. If the job turns out smaller, you pay less – we bill for the time actually spent.

How this job works

  1. Send an enquiry

Send us your site address and a couple of sentences about the problem. We usually reply the same or the next working day.

  2. We review it and give you the price

The assessment is free. You’ll know the exact time and price before you decide on anything.

  3. We do the work and report back

We take a backup before making changes. When the work is done you get a summary of exactly what was done and what to keep an eye on going forward.

Frequently asked questions

Do you translate the text yourselves?

We are not a translation agency. We use your own translations, coordinate translation with a translator, or use machine translation that a person reviews. We do the entry and the checks.

Is machine translation good enough?

For simple information it often is, provided someone who speaks the language reviews it. For marketing, legal and technical text we recommend a human translation.

Are URLs and SEO data translated too?

Yes. Addresses, SEO titles and meta descriptions are done per language, so people searching in another language can find you.

Which plugin do you work with?

We enter content into Polylang, WPML or TranslatePress, depending on what the site already uses or what suits the case.

What does it cost and how long does it take?

You get a free review and estimate once we have seen the site. We bill the actual time spent. The timeline depends on the volume of text and how quickly the translation is ready.
