Wix has no export function, so there is no simple “download and import” option. If you have outgrown Wix, its monthly cost keeps rising, or you need features it does not allow, the content has to be moved manually or with scripts. We do that for you, and your site carries on in WordPress at the same address.

The result is a WordPress site with the same content, images and blog posts you had on Wix, a design that is either rebuilt to match or refreshed, and old links that keep working.

What the work includes

  • Content transfer. pages, text and headings are moved from Wix to WordPress. Since there is no export, we use scripts or careful manual copying so nothing is lost.
  • Media. images and files are downloaded and added to the WordPress media library with sensible names and alt text.
  • Design. we rebuild the site in WordPress, either matching your current look or giving it a light refresh. Mobile layout is checked separately.
  • Blog. Wix blog posts are carried over with their dates, categories and authors.
  • URLs and 301 redirects. Wix URLs (for example /blog-1 and /post/...) are mapped to the new addresses and redirected with 301s, so search results and inbound links keep working.
  • SEO preserved. titles, meta descriptions and image alt texts are transferred, and we check the sitemap and indexing.
  • Forms. contact forms are rebuilt in WordPress and tested to make sure the messages arrive.
  • Domain. we help transfer the domain away from Wix or point the DNS records at the new server, keeping any downtime minimal.
  • Wix Stores. if you run a Wix shop, we flag what moving to WooCommerce involves (products, orders, payments). A full shop migration is a separate job in the scope of product import and adding WooCommerce.

What we need from you

  • Wix admin access (or an owner invitation) and access to manage the domain.
  • Whether the design should stay the same or change.
  • A list of forms and services that must keep working (newsletter, bookings and so on).
  • A hosting choice. If you have no server yet, we help you pick one.

What is not included

  • A full functional rebuild of Wix-specific apps (bookings, members area, Wix Stores), which is estimated separately.
  • Writing new content or translations.
  • SEO work beyond the migration itself, see SEO.

Frequently asked questions

Can a Wix site be exported?

No, Wix does not offer a full export. Content and images are moved manually or with scripts, and the design is rebuilt in WordPress.

Will my Google rankings survive?

We keep the URLs or set up 301 redirects from the old Wix addresses to the new ones, and check titles, meta descriptions and the sitemap. Some fluctuation is normal in any migration, but it is usually temporary.

Will my site be offline during the move?

No. We build the new site separately while Wix keeps running, and switch the DNS only after your approval.

What about my Wix shop?

Moving Wix Stores to WooCommerce is a separate task. We review the shop and tell you what can be imported and what needs rebuilding.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?
