Booking system for a WordPress website

When customers book by phone or email, answering takes hours every day and double bookings are common. We add a booking system to your WordPress site that shows free slots, accepts the booking, sends a confirmation and keeps your calendar in order. It suits booking services, appointments, rentals or resources such as a room, a car or a piece of equipment.

Whether we use a ready-made plugin or build something custom is decided only after we have looked at your case. For a simple appointment, an established plugin is often enough; for more complex logic (several resources, seasonal pricing, special rules) a custom plugin may be worth considering.

What the work includes

• Needs review. We establish what is booked (a time slot, a day, a night, a place), how long it lasts, who provides the service and how many customers fit at once.
• Choice and installation. We choose a suitable plugin or custom solution and configure it in your theme without breaking the look of the site.
• Services and resources. Services with durations, prices and buffer times, staff or resources with their own schedules, capacity (how many people per slot) and days off.
• Booking form. A clear step-by-step form that works on mobile and asks only for what is needed.
• Google Calendar sync. Bookings appear in your Google Calendar, and busy times in the calendar can block availability.
• Confirmations and reminders. Automatic emails to the customer and to you, and an SMS reminder if you want one (the SMS provider contract is separate).
• Online payment. Optionally a deposit or full payment through WooCommerce with the payment methods you choose.
• Cancellation and rescheduling rules. How late a customer may change or cancel, and what happens to the amount paid.
• Admin view. A dashboard in WordPress where you see bookings, add or edit them manually and export them.
• Testing. We walk through normal and awkward cases: double clicks, time-zone changes, a full day, cancellations.

What we need from you

• A list of services or resources with durations, prices and working hours.
• Rules: advance notice, cancellation terms, payments.
• Administrator access to WordPress and, if needed, your Google account.
• Texts for confirmations and reminders (we can help word them).

Typical scenarios

A hairdresser or massage studio books by staff member. A rental company books equipment by the day. A trainer runs group sessions with a limited number of places. Each has different logic, which is why we do not pick a solution before we have seen your case.
