Visit Narva is the official tourism portal of the city of Narva. We built them a four-language (ET/EN/RU/FI) website with over 960 content entries: events, activities, accommodation, eating and drinking, and conference rooms.
Highlighted solutions
- Event import from the Ida-Viru events API: events, places, organisers and types are imported together with their translations, and if an image is missing the image from another language is used.
- Automatic clean-up of past events: the system removes expired dates, deletes fully past events together with their related media (if not used elsewhere) and keeps the next event date up to date.
- Custom content types and ACF fields: events, activities, accommodation, eat & drink, conference rooms.
- Dynamic filters and AJAX card loading on the event and category pages.
- Four languages with Polylang, Russian URLs transliterated from Cyrillic to Latin (Cyr-To-Lat) and a Smaily newsletter.
- Speed and accessibility: Performance Lab, speculative loading, WebP and Readabler.
