Nordenbeauty online store and continuous UX development

Nordenbeauty is an Estonian at-home beauty and wellness device brand with more than 40,000 customers in Estonia, Finland, the Baltics and beyond. We built their WooCommerce store from a custom design made in Figma and keep developing it continuously: the shop runs in seven languages and several currencies and is connected to marketing, logistics and analytics systems.

Highlighted solutions

  • Custom design in Figma: the whole store, product pages and checkout were designed in Figma specifically for Nordenbeauty, and we built it as a custom WooCommerce theme whose content is managed through nearly 30 ACF content blocks (sliders, before-and-after comparisons, FAQ, videos, logo marquee and more).
  • Breakdance for complex views: alongside the ACF blocks, any page can embed a global block built in Breakdance, so more complex views and custom blocks (for example the affiliate page) can be designed visually without changing the theme.
  • Continuous UX improvements: the store is improved every month based on sales data and customer support feedback. For example, before a bra is added to the cart the shop asks the customer to confirm the size, because that is the main reason for returns; the cart has a free-shipping progress bar, quantity buttons and product-specific cross-sells; checkout totals and savings update in real time.
  • Bundle offers on the product page: our own plugin lets the customer choose 1, 2 or 3 units, each with its own colour and size, with the price dropping in tiers (including “2+1 free” campaigns and a countdown). The correct WooCommerce variations with the correct SKUs are added to the cart.
  • Two-step checkout: customer details and delivery first, then payment. Parcel locker selection, company fields for invoicing, country-specific payment methods (bank links, cards and Apple Pay, buy now pay later) and a free-shipping threshold that depends on the destination country and currency.
  • Seven languages and multiple currencies: Estonian, English, Finnish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian and Russian with Polylang. The English store detects the visitor’s location and shows prices in their currency; top bar messages are translated into the other languages automatically with AI.
  • Klaviyo marketing automation: newsletter opt-in at checkout, back-in-stock and pre-order notifications, a weekly top-products feed and automatic onboarding of affiliates into campaigns.
  • Logistics and order tracking: orders flow automatically to the fulfilment partner, the customer receives the tracking code in their own language, and the account page has an animated shipment tracker.
  • Stock logic: variation-level backorder delivery times and quantity caps, shown on the product page, in the cart, at checkout and on the order line.
  • Marketing integrations: Meta and Google product feeds in every language and currency, a Triple Whale post-purchase survey, an affiliate programme with AffiliateWP, TikTok, GTM and Microsoft Clarity.
  • Speed: a multi-layer caching setup (page cache with separate variants for every language and currency, a Redis object cache, WebP images and font preloading) keeps load times short despite the large catalogue and video-heavy pages.
